Impressions from the project process
The PERI solution served as both shoring and an assembly platform on which the enormous steel trusses of the roof construction were set down, assembled and moved into position.
With point load concentrations, several standards could be bundled together using short 25 cm ledgers of the PERI UP modular scaffolding system.
The 7 m wide and 58 m long working platform carried by horizontally-positioned PERI brace frames.
For the final assembly of the over 80 m long roof construction, the PERI UP assembly platform was extended to a width of 14 m in the internal area.
The multi-functional arena in Split, with seating for 12,500 spectators, was finished in time for the 2009 handball world championships which took place in Croatia.
