Two lock facilities (Gatun/Atlantic and Miraflores/Pacific) with three lock chambers created one after the other, each of which are 403 m long and 55 m wide; Lengths of the lock facilities: 1.8 km each for a total height difference of 26 m

Amount of concrete used: 6,600,000 m³

Amount of steel used: 340,000 tons

Area to receive formwork: 2,200,000 m²

70 cranes and 30 concrete pumping stations
